The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion contains a high concentration of two forms of vitamin A: retinol and granactive retinoid, which stimulate intensive cell renewal, improving skin quality, firmness, and elasticity.
The gentle emulsion reduces wrinkle depth, firms, smooths, tightens, shrinks enlarged pores, evens skin texture, and adds radiance. It brightens pigmentation and post-acne marks, normalizes sebum production, combats oily shine, and prevents inflammation.
The lightweight formula absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue.
The emulsion features an innovative form of vitamin A—granactive retinoid (Granactive Retinoid™), patented by Grant Industries. Granactive retinoid is a pinacolyl ester of trans-retinoic acid in a premium solvent that acts more gently than other forms but with equal effectiveness. It has high bioavailability, penetrating deeply into the epidermis without damaging the stratum corneum.
Additional active ingredients:
- Retinol – a form of vitamin A that stimulates cell renewal, evens skin texture, reduces wrinkle depth, shrinks pores, slows aging, and firms and tones the skin.
- Irish moss extract (carrageenan) – powerful antioxidant properties protect cells from free radicals, prolong skin youthfulness, and enhance barrier function.
- Tasmanian pepper extract – fights irritation, has an astringent effect, and promotes healing of microdamages caused by AHA acids.
- Bisabolol – derived from chamomile, soothes, accelerates healing, and promotes tissue regeneration.
- Rosemary leaf extract – accelerates skin repair, tones, improves blood circulation, and has anti-aging effects.
- Sucrose laurate – effectively moisturizes and gives the product a soft, milky texture.
